AND the FINAL REASON to service your air conditioner annually: CLEAN CONDENSER COILS & Evaporator Coils (if necessary) - Dirty Condenser Coils (outside unit) can increase run time, decrease efficiency and cause the compressor to overheat, which leads to premature compressor failure. Evaporator Coils may also need to be cleaned, although this is not part of a normal service and is generally a direct result of dirty or ignored filters. This can be avoided by using premium 1" filters.
